FIRE AND CHEMICAL CONTAMINATION WHILE AT WORK!
A disaster is always unexpected and equally dangerous for everyone, however, it’s not a secret that during a fire more people die from smoke inhalation and building collapse rather than actual burns.
Earthquakes generally last from 10 to 30 seconds, so it is extremely important to know at least basic safety survival skills in advance and being
able to make a critical choice within the few seconds that you may have.
There are many reasons for an earthquake caused chemical spill to be high on your “How Fast to Run” list. Other reasons for chemical spills could be a transportation accident, industrial leakage or worker error.
Learn how to get ready for an earthquake escape from the office or workplace. Besides structural damage which may be obvious, products may have fallen off shelves, tipped over or been broken, spilling their contents. There is no disaster which so strongly requires advance planning as chemical contamination. Preparing for a fire or earthquake may seem relatively straightforward, however; there are chemicals in our workplaces which can be extremely dangerous when mixed. Workers who have not received training would have no way to recognize and defend themselves from the dangers presented when chemicals spill.
