Please join us for a demonstration of a new portable lab we are considering adding to our key equipment inventory, based on the new challenges that Fentanyl and Carfentanil have now given us all.
The Torian T-9 GCMS being presented by Tim Freeman of Perkin Elmer.
The demonstration is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept 27 at 9:00 am
BC Hazmat Management 6-10114 McDonald Park Rd., Sidney, BC.
The introduction of Fentanyl and Carfentanil into our communities has become a very serious issue for all responders, and BC Hazmat Management has been working diligently on ways to improve the safety of our teams and fellow responders relating to incidents where these hazardous opioids are being found.
One of the more serious challenges for the responders, relates to hazard identification. Discovering quickly whether fentanyl is present is key to enhancing the safety and abilities of our teams when responding.
This demonstration will show you the latest in Hazard Identification Technology, and as well we would appreciate your input as to how this new scientific apparatus would assist us all in protecting and handling these new dangers to our communities.
